Any of you guys ever try Paesano's off 15th and 75? They are one of the best and they know me and my family well... They are inexpensive compared to other places, and offer large Italian-sized portions. Their house dressing and red sauce is amazing. They beat many of the Italian places near me, hands down in price and taste.

I haven't tried Italian Garden yet, but I've tried several near me (not far from Italian Garden) and have never been back (except for Palio's overpriced, but yummy pizza-- don't recommend their other food).

At Paesano's, I recommend the Chicken Paesano, change the spaghetti to Alfredo... Most of their food is good, and their desserts are homemade.

PS: Italian Garden is fairly new-- opened w/in the last month or so. We tried to go there a couple times when it was a a different restaurant, but it was always closed.
Thursday would be better for us, 6:45 - 7p is the earliest I could make it that far North from work....

Matt, why don't you start a thread in the " Events" section today?

Other's may chime in as well...

The downside of being better than everyone else is that people tend to assume you're pretentious.

Gave it a shot today since it's not far up Custer from where I live. I thought it was pretty good - I did enjoy the alfredo sauce, though I always think most alfredo sauces are too runny. Side salad was good, looked like fresh produce and not just some iceberg lettuce drowning in overpowering dressing. What's funny about those bread rolls is they are in every neighborhood strip mall Italian joint. Must have the same supplier

Overall I enjoyed it enough to go back and try a few more dishes. And of course it's reasonably priced.

Since the thread is titled "Best Italian food I have eaten in Dallas" I will put my vote in for Isabella's on the corner of Legacy and 121. That is my favorite "hidden gem".
